Letter to RVers – Separating Fact from Fiction

You may have seen this letter on our home page, but we’re posting it here in case you missed it.

Dear RVer,

Thanks very much for visiting the Best Parks in America web directory of affiliated parks. I hope you found an RV park to meet your needs and whether or not you did on this visit, I hope you’ll add the site your favorites and return each time you are planning an RV outing. New parks are frequently added to the site and what the next time you visit, I’m sure there will be parks you’ve not seen before.

The purpose of this message is to pass along some important information about Best Parks. From time to time, we see comments or posts on various websites – some negative and some positive – about Best Parks and we want to try to separate fact from fiction.

Fact: All Best Parks affiliates meet one or more of three criteria. They are rated a total of 9 by Woodalls Campground Directory, OR they are rated a total of 26.5 by Trailer Life Directory, OR they have an A rating from Guest Reviews (with at least 50 reviews). If a park falls below all of these criteria, they will be dropped from affiliation. It is possible that a park will be highly rated from one source and be lower rated by another. That’s the way the park industry has operated for many years and although that may change in the future, for the moment Best Parks in America accepts the ratings until and unless a significant problem is brought to our attention and action is necessary, for the time being that’s how parks qualify.

Fact: Qualifying parks pay a modest annual fee to be a part of Best Parks in America. The fee is necessary to cover expenses associated with advertising the parks and the brand. Best Parks in America is a for-profit corporation. The company is owned by David Gorin, a past President & CEO of the National Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds, and a well-respected park industry consultant and expert.

Fact: Each park is independently owned and operated. Best Parks in America does not own any of the affiliated parks and does not sell franchises. Best Parks values the unique character of each park and encourages the operators to develop their own uniqueness, features, atmosphere and guest experience.

Fact: Best Guests In America is a complimentary club for RVers and campers who enjoy visiting Best Parks in America. Each affiliated resort recognizes Best Guests in America members in their own special way when a Best Guest member checks in. From time to time, Best Parks makes special RVing offers to Best Guest members.

Fact: Best Parks in America or its affiliated parks do not sell memberships of any kind.

Fact: Guests have different experiences at different parks. While we hope that every guest will have an outstanding visit at every Best Park and while we strive to assure that all the affiliated parks provide the best experiences every time, we know that’s not always possible. We welcome feedback from RVers at any time. Comments can be sent toinfo@bestparksinamerica.com. We promise a prompt response.

Again, thanks for visiting Best Parks in America. Feel free to communicate directly with me at anytime – david@bestparksinamerica.com.

Sincerely,

David Gorin
President
Best Parks in America, Inc.
